  Buoyed by the success of galaxy S series and aiming to maintain its overall lead over its arch rival Apple, Samsung is believed to be working on Galaxy S4 Mini.
According to the reports appearing in online media the South Korean Giant is preparing to launch the S4 Mini version in 4 variants. It will come with 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with 256ppi. It will run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean and will be powered by 1.6GHz dual-core processor. The S4 Mini will appear in four variants.
Keeping in view the growing popularity of the dual-SIM phones one of the variants would be in this category, along with will be a standard, an LTE enabled variant and one SKU customized for China Mobile.
The Galaxy S4 was launched in the US early this week and many feel that the its mini version will help Samsung take on the Apple on its home turf. The two world’s leading smartphone makers are fighting for the supremacy in the global smartphone market. While Samsung is leading in most countries, Apple still holds an edge in the US.
Following the launch of iPhone 5 by Apple, Apple's market share touched 37.8 percent in the first three months, up from 36.3 percent in December and 34.3 percent in October, while Samsung who held the second spot moved up to 21.4 percent share, from 21 percent sequentially and 19.5 percent for the same three months. HTC, Motorola and LG followed, with respective shares of 9.7 percent, 8.6 percent and 7 percent.
