"It's finally time to pick the winner," It announced in a Video posted on its homepage yesterday.
Tim Liston, named as "competition director announced that YouTube is very close to the end and will no longer be accepting entries.
“After eight amazing years, it is finally time to review everything that has been uploaded to our site and begin the process of selecting a winner," he said
Liston said that distinguished" film critics, YouTube celebrities and some of the site's "most prolific" commentators are on the judges' panel.
Only last week it took pride in saying that if YouTube were a country, “we'd be the third largest in the world after China and India,
