Micromax which is trying hard to catch up with its rival Samsung for number one smartphone vendor in India has launched the Canvas Turbo, its first smartphone with full-HD display at Rs. 19,990. This is clearly an attempt to cash in on its highly successful Canvas series smartphones.
The Micromax Canvas Turbo features a 5-inch full-HD CGS IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution and runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589T (Turbo) processor.
It has 2GB of RAM and comes with FOTA support. It features 16GB of inbuilt storage. The Canvas Turbo sports 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 2000mAh battery.
Canvas Turbo comes preloaded with apps like BBM, hike, Spuul, Kingsoft Office, M!Security, M!Unlock, M!Live and Game-hub.

Micromax Canvas Magnus is also on the way. It is available on e-commerce portal Snapdeal at for Rs. 14,999. Micromax Canvas series smartphones have helped the company gain significantly in the Indian market.
The company has roped in Hugh Jackman has roped in Hollywood star Hugh Jackman as its brand ambassador with any eye emerging markets such as India.
Eralier its Canvas HD, Canvas 4, Canvas 2, Canvas 2 plus, Canvas Lite, Canvas Music, Canvas 3D, Canvas Doodle and Canvas Doodle 2 got excellent reviews in India and were received well by its fans.
