The government-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in association with Pantel Technologies on Friday launched a feature phone phone priced at Rs. 1,799.
Apart from this, the companies also launched affordable startphones PentaSmart P501 and Penta Smart PS650 priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 7,999 respectively.
PentaBharat PF300 has large screen display with dual SIM. The internet-ready phones will come in bundled offers with BSNL special tariff vouchers- 1,200 minutes of BSNL free bundled talk-time.
Penta Bharat has a 3-inch JAVA enabled feature phone. The Dual SIM device comes with 1.3 Mega Pixel rear Camera; Bluetooth; a damdaar1800 mAh Lithium-Ion battery that delivers upto 8 hrs of talk time and 15 days standby time.
It comes with 64MB RAM and 64MB of internal storage; SMS scheduler; multimedia gaming and mobile tracker.
It allows with internet browsing facilities including Email, Facebook, downloading of music and videos, and Java games.
"It is India's first internet access ready phone at this price and has been designed specially for e-governance applications for the common man," BSNL and Noida-based Pental Technologies said in a joint statement.
Penta Smart PS650 comes with 6.5 inch display with dual-core processor. It is bundled with three GB of BSNL 3G data and 300 minutes of talk-time.
PentaSmart P501 comes with a 5-inch display and comes with 3 GB of BSNL 3G data and 300 minutes of talk-time.
The two companies also launched Penta T-Pad WS707C tablet pc at a price of Rs 6,999.
All the devices come bundled with BSNL special tariff vouchers (STVs).
