Android, dual-SIM Micromax Canvas XL A119 phablet with quad-core processor launched for Rs 13,990

Betting on the growing popularity of phablets, India’s leading handset maker Micromax has quietly launched a 6-inch Android phablet Canvas XL A119, for the Indian customers. The device has a price tag of Rs. 13,990,
 
The pre-booking for the device is available on HomeShope18 TV channel or HomeShope18.com from 19 January 2014,
 
The dual-SIM Canvas XL A119 features a 6-inch QHD display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The device sports an 8MP rear and 5MP front cameras.
 
Canvas XL A119 comes with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, expandable up to 32GB via microSD. It has 3G, EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB as connectivity options. It has 2,450 mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver 9.5 hours of talktime.
 
This is company’s first major launch in 2014. Its Canvas series of smartphones has been very successful in India. Last month Micromax partnered with telecom service provider MTS to launch a phablet called Canvas Blaze for Rs 10,999. It comes bundled with free voice and data benefits.
