Alcatel, on Thursday launched the Alcatel One Touch Flash, its selfie-focused smartphone in India for Rs. 9,999. It is available on Flipkart from Friday which is the e-commerce partner of Alcatel. The main attraction of the device is its 5 megapixel front facing camera.
 
"Flash is our latest innovative phone on e-commerce platform along with our strategic partner Flipkart. Flash is built truly for selfie fans with 2 key points - a good resolution front facing camera that also has the Beauty Selfie to enhance the user's photo without the need of any extra application,” said Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, APAC, Alcatel One Touch.
 
Alcatel One Touch Flash features a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It is powered with an 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592M processor with 1GB of RAM. It is a dual-SIM smartphone.
 
Along with the 5 megapixels front camera, it sports a 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash. It comes with 8GB of internal storage and it can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card.
 
For connectivity Alcatel One Touch Flash includes - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS and 3G. For long lasting experience, it comes with a 3200 mAh battery. And it weighs 150 grams. It is available in Crystal White, and Gun Grey colour options.
 
Alcatel has also announced a 'Selfie Contest' in which the top 20 contestants everyday can win Rs. 1,000 off on the purchase price. The grand prize winner will get the ultimate selfie prize - a full photo-shoot makeover that will be featured in one of the most recognized lifestyle magazines, says the company.
