Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note smartphone in India and will be available in two variants, 3G dual-SIM, priced for Rs 8,999. It will start selling exclusively on Flipkart from December 2 through its fastest finger first contest. Registration for Tuesday's flash sale is open till Monday midnight. And a 4G single-SIM variant priced at Rs 9,999. In an exclusive tie-up with Airtel, the 4G variant will sell in selected Airtel retail stores, consumers can also be able to book the device through Airtel website as well.
Xiaomi Redmi Note features a 5.5 inch 720 pixels HD IPS display and comes with dual-SIM connectivity. It is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core MTK 6592 processor from MediaTek with 2GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS along with company’s own MIUI 5 OS and is upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
It comes with a 13 megapixels rear camera and a 5 megapixels front camera. It is powered with a 3200 mAh battery. It comes with 8GB of internal storage that is further expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card.
