Asus launched dual-SIM ZenFone Max with 5000 mAh battery at Rs 9999

Asus India, on Monday launched the ZenFone Max smartphone under its ZenFone series at Rs. 9,999. Asus ZenFone Max is now up for pre-orders on Flipkart and its tentative release date is January 14.
 
The major attraction of the device is its 5000 mAh non-removable battery that also works as a power bank for other devices. Asus ZenFone Max is rated to deliver up to 914 hours of standby time and up to 38 hours of talk time.
 
Asus ZenFone Max is a dual-SIM device and features a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with 720x1280 pixels resolutions and runs ZenUI 2.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. It is powered by 1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB RAM. The device comes with 16GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 64GB using microSD card. It packs accelerometer, compass, proximity, and ambient light sensors.
 
ZenFone Max sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and also comes with a 5 megapixel front camera. For connectivity ZenFone Max includes - 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
 
Last year several handsets were also launched with almost similar battery size. The Gionee Marathon M4 was also launched with 5000 mAh battery at Rs. 15,499. Gionee Marathon M5 was launched with two 3010 mAh batteries at Rs. 17,999. Lenovo Vibe P1 also launched with 4900 mAh battery was priced at Rs. 15,999.
