TT Correspondent |  Bangalore |  13 Apr 2009

Leading mobile service provider, Bharti Airtel claimed to reach the 10 million subscriber mark in the circle of Karnataka and further claiming to have garnered 60 percent of new mobile additions in the state in the last 12 months.

Venkatesh V, CEO, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Karnataka, said, “The first circle in India to achieve this milestone, Airtel Karnataka has made strong investment in developing the market through network depth, quality and superior distribution systems of over 80,000 outlets, and world class IT and service technologies. But the resonance that has come from the customers reflected in the trust in Airtel brand is humbling. Airtel will rededicate to provide Karnataka with world class products and services and continued initiatives to develop the market.”
