Alcatel-Lucent announced the availability of its new Release 3.0 version of its OmniAccess 8550 Web Services Gateway (WSG) allowing enterprises and service providers deliver an open as well as secure web services environment.
The new version includes detailed, context-sensitive capture of usage patterns that lets organizations monitor and adapt to security breaches including fraudulent transactions from trusted users, efficient, flexible, high-performance policy evaluation and contextual policy enforcement for protection of private information, says Alcatel-Lucent.
In addition it also incorporates granular views of user-centric Web services, ensuring authorized individuals (including those offering third-party services) have access to the information they require and enhanced monitoring of user interactions and Web services, ensuring specified service level agreements, claims the company.
“The 8550 Web Services Gateway provides the enterprise a reusable corporate-wide infrastructure that can be applied to many facets of governance, from security to compliance,” said Michel Emelianoff, Alcatel-Lucent vice president of Enterprise Security Solutions. “The new functionality offered with Release 3.0 better meets the needs of Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise and service provider customers.” |
