Research firm rates ZTE as fastest growing telecom gear maker
TT Bureau |  |  11 May 2009

Leaving all other publicly traded telecom vendors of the world behind, ZTE Corporation has grown to be the fastest growing telecom equipment and solutions provider, said a report released by research firm IDC.

“We take pride in receiving the distinction of being 2008’s fastest growing telecom vendor, as recognized by IDC,” stated Yin Yimin, President of ZTE Corporation

With revenues that topped $6.5 billion, up approximately $1.4 billion from it’s earlier

$5.1 billion in 2007, and a 27 percent leap in its overall revenues, in addition to 20 percent growth in the wireless business (y-o-y), ZTE stands out among its competitors for all the positive reasons.

Annotating on the significant development, Yimin added, “This only shows that ZTE’s commitment to spearheading R&D initiatives, coupled with our determination to innovate and introduce high quality telecom equipment solutions, is paying off. With a strong global workforce ready to provide the best technical support to our customers, we believe ZTE will remain a key player in the highly competitive telecom market in the years ahead.”
