Sistema Shyam formally announces ZTE as technology partner

Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTS) announced ZTE as its technology partner for its wireless network rollout throughout the country. The company is currently in the process of expanding its operations through the country and expects the pan-India rollout to be completed by Q3 2010.

 

The deal with ZTE will require the latter to provide Wireless and Core Network equipments.

 

Vsevolod Rozanov, President and CEO, Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd commented, “This strategic foray with ZTE in the network equipments and infrastructure building sphere will enable us to offer high quality mobile telephony experience to the end consumer. There was immense level of strategic insight involved in the process of selection and some decisive parameters were the specific advantages of equipment, technological expertise and  the capability to perform complex national-scale projects that we believe ZTE possess”.

 

Till date SSTS has launched its CDMA-based services in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
