Vodafone Qatar, the second mobile operator of the country commenced its mobile services with a “flexi plan” that is directed at giving customers “bonus value” and free “Vodafone minutes”, said the company.
The operator, a JV between the UK telco and the Qatar Foundation, initiated registration for customers on the web after a trial period of more than one year during which shareholders were able to access its services.
By July end, the company hopes to list its shares on the Doha Securities Market.
Vodafone Qatar won the operations licence in June, 2008 and shares forming a 40 percent stake in the company were sold out in April in an initial public offering, raising one billion dollars. |
