  Nimbuzz announced launch of new iPhone and iPod touch updates along with a new desktop client for Apple Mac computers. Nimbuzz already caters to iPhone users through its first version of iPhone client. Nimbuzz claims to be at the top 10 ranking on all iTunes AppStores in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
It claims that it regularly ends up as No. 1 What’s Hot positions in influential iPhone markets such as the UK. To further back its claims the company says that every fifth iPhone user in France and Netherlands uses Nimbuzz. The company has witnessed an average 84% growth in downloads of its iPhone and iPod touch applications in key European markets. It is among the 5% iPhone Apps to have more than 100,000 active users with an active user base of more than 41%.
Nimbuzz said that the new launch is designed to capture the enormous future growth potential of its Apple-focused platform.
The desktop client interface for Mac desktop client supports range of instant messaging and social networks like Facebook, AIM, MySpace, Google Talk (Orkut), Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger (MSN), ICQ and many more. It also promises to offer high-quality VoIP calling from desktop. The new upgrades on iPhone and iPod enable users to share photos, music and videos with their contacts. A Push Notification feature is also included providing updates on incoming calls or chats. Further, a new buddy list layout is also incorporated displaying avatars and presence information including which community a friend belongs to and if that person is currently online on a mobile phone or computer.
