ZTE claimed that it is set to attain the number 1 position in the CDMA network supply market by 2010 with a market share of 29.3 %. For this year the company with a market share of 25 % stands at number 2 position lagging only Alcatel-Lucent.
A new report by Frost & Sullivan titled, ‘Global CDMA Network Market and Provider Competition Analysis’ which tracks performance of CDMA vendors till Q2 2009, shows that Alcatel-Lucent has a market share of 30.1 %.
ZTE further claimed that its market share in India and China as per the report stood at 35 % and 41.5 % respectively for Q1 2009. ZTE now aims to realize market breakthrough in US and other large scale high-end markets.
ZTE has tasted sweet success in the CDMA segment having recorded highest shipments in the segment for three consecutive years from 2006 to 2008. In the first half of this year, the firm has shipped about 75,000 base stations taking its total shipments to 220,000 CDMA base stations. |
