TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. has forged a strategic MoU with Huawei to deploy driver amplifiers and related products for Next Generation optical transport systems.
“Our optical amplifiers have set a standard for high performance, efficiency and customer value that are in sync with Huawei’s requirements for ‘greener’, high-efficiency data transport systems,” said Brian P. Balut, TriQuint Vice President, Networks.
Within the capacity of the agreement, TriQuint will work closely with Huawei to develop higher-speed and wider-bandwidth networks solutions, with lower power consumption for operators across the world, said the company.
Additionally, the two companies will align the product development roadmaps in order to enhance the competitiveness of their products.
Commenting on the partnership, Qinya Hua, Manager of Transport Networks, Huawei, said, “We are impressed with TriQuint’s high-quality products and professional technical support. Huawei is always on the look out for advanced technology that allows operators to meet network optimization challenges in reducing TCO (total cost ownership) through lower power consumption.”
Furthering the comment, Brian P. Balut, TriQuint Vice President, Networks, added, “TriQuint looks forward to supporting Huawei’s development and deployment of next-generation 40Gb/s optical networks as well as the evolution of ultra high-speed 100Gb/s networks,” added Balut. |
