Bharti Airtel today commenced operations of its Far-East Connect Network enhanced specifically for its customers in the Asia and Pacific region.
The network spans across cable routes of i2i, SMW4, APCN2, JUCN, AAG and also a proposed investment in another High Speed Network between Singapore and Japan. With the new network in place, Bharti Airtel can serve its customers in Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United States and Vietnam.

The new Network will also allow Bharti Airtel to provide connectivity on the Asia America Gateway (AAG) which is a 20,000 Rkm cable system.
Bharti Airtel’s capacity in the region is now increased by additional 1 Terabit per second with a capability to link major cable landing stations in India, HK, Japan, Singapore and across the Pacific to the United States.
Bharti Airtel also has alternate routes and connectivity as a back-up measure in this region spanning the markets of Japan, Taiwan, Australia and South Korea. |
