BSNL on Friday launched 3G services in South India choosing Chennai as the launch pad to start with offering among other services a monitoring services from remote location through network attached storage recording solution.
The service was launched by P R Ananthan, CGM, Southern Telecom Projects of the BSNL making a video call to Liu Zhan, VP, Huawei India.
The company is aiming for 150,000 subscribers within 2 months. A launch offer enables the subscriber to make audio and video calls at 30 paise per minute for local calls while for national calls the charge will be 50 paise per minute. By default subscribers will be entitled to fifty minutes of free local video calls and 25 MB free data usage upto December 31,2009. |
