Alcatel-Lucent recently demonstrated a range of technological solutions and applications at its campus in Vélizy, near Paris.
The main highlight of the demonstration included the ‘LTE Connected Car’ which promises to provide network, operators, automotive suppliers and application providers a new stream for revenue generation. For its demonstration, Alcatel-Lucent partnered with QNX Software Systems, Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) USA, Inc., chumby, Kabillion and Atlantic Records as part of the ng Connect Program.
It also showcased LTE network operating at 2.6 GHz which is the band expected to be assigned in Europe for LTE. Alcatel-Lucent used device from LG Electronics for the demonstration.

The Digital Signage named as SIGNEXX is a concept replacing traditional outdoor billboards and interactive posters with self-contained jumbo screens. Content can be dynamically and remotely fed into through the use of the solution.
The FishLabs application allows mobile gaming in a LTE environment.
The company also unveiled its Gemalto concept which is mainly designed to support applications and features in a cloud computing ecosystem.
The new SmartPhone TV leverages the multimedia capabilities of emerging devices such as SmartPhones, Tablet PCs and other connected devices allowing users to access multimedia content in a personalized and contextualized way. |
