  Chinese player, ZTE Corp is betting big on the smartphone market and the company is using the MWC forum to showcase its range of smartphone products.
ZTE has unveiled, ZTE Bingo, a 3G smartphone built in technical partnership with Qualcomm. It claims the model is world’s first ultra-slim big-screen BMP (Brew Mobile Platform) phone. In addition to full support for Adobe Flash, the platform provides advanced terminal functions such as touch screen, multimedia, window management, open platform scalability and extended support for local application development.
It can support download speeds of 7.2 Mbps and has new dynamic UI which supports application development and multi-touch functionality, significantly improving operational experience.
Apart from this model, the company is also showcasing 5 Android-based phones.
Its range of smartphones are built on all popular OS such as OMS, Linux and Windows Mobile.
“With the development of the communication industry, smartphones will become more popular. Goldman Sachs predicts that smartphone sales will grow by 38% in 2010. In Europe and even worldwide, smartphones will become a very important development direction for ZTE in 2010,” says Mr. Lin Qiang, President of ZTE’s Mobile Phone Operation Department in Europe, stressing the importance of smartphones.
The company is particularly focusing on the European market for its range of products. |
