Vodafone all set to close navigation services subsidiary, Wayfinder
TT Bureau |  |  15 Mar 2010

UK-based Vodafone is set to close down its navigational services subsidiary, Wayfinder Systems which it acquired in December 2008. The move is mainly attributed to the navigational services being offered on a freebie in lieu of advertisements by players such as Google and Nokia.

Vodafone had acquired Wayfinder for $ 33 million with an aim to develop a suite of new location-based services.
