Communications solution provider, Aricent and software services company, Excelocity claimed successful integration of Excelocity’s XL Gateway which is used in building voice and video IP solutions and Aricent’s Converged Access Software (CAS) into Intel CAP24-60 Multi-Service Business Gateway reference HW platform.
“We are pleased to be launching this VoIP solution based on the XL-Gateway and the Intel CAP24-60 platform,” said Goutam Shaw, president and founder of Excelocity Inc. “The universal nature of our XL-Gateway Frameworks, via its adaptor modules, allowed us to quickly adapt to Intel’s DSP and TDM interfaces while keeping XL-Gateway’s core engines unchanged. It is good to see XLG and CAS, the two complementary products, working together to enable multi-service gateway solutions for our customers.”
The tie-up says that the XL-Gateway platform will provide an almost turnkey solution to equipment vendors. It supports third party TDM and IP signaling protocol stacks and provides multimedia path and call control for FXS, FXO, ISDN, CAS and SIP calls over PSTN, LAN and WAN networks.
“We are very excited to be working with Intel and Excelocity to provide a complete Multiservice Business Gateway Solution for the CAP24-60 platform,” said C.P. Murali, sr. vice president at Aricent. “Today’s equipment manufacturers face enormous complexities associated with developing, qualifying and deploying advanced Voice/Video IP solutions. The combination of the Aricent and Excelocity Software frameworks can dramatically enhance the capacity for networking vendors to deliver reliable, feature rich multi-service gateway products.” |
