SC to hear petition filed by COAI over review by CAG
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  08 Jun 2010

The Supreme Court (SC) will hear a petition filed by the COAI against the Delhi High Court order which directed telecom operators to allow the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) to review their accounting books.

The operators argue that since an independent audit has already been conducted by the DoT there was no need for CAG to conduct another review. Also according to these operators they do not come under the preview of CAG as they are private companies.
