Inaugurating the first call centre of BSNL in Rajasthan, Pilot said the government sought to redress the complaints of the telephone and other users of the company's services in the quickest possible time.
At present the whole of Northern India is being served by Gurgaon call centre which receives about 60,000 calls a day from Rajasthan Circle.
This call centre is also expected to provide employment opportunity for the youths of Ajmer and other parts of Rajasthan.
Pilot said such call centres will be opened in other states of the country. The call centre here is the second of its kind in Northern India.
"Communication Ministry wants to solve problems of consumers immediately and for this call centres are being set up in this field. In future, call centres will be opened in small cities", he said.
Pilot said government is preparing the network of modern communication facilities for rural areas.
The call centre here will function as an outsourcing model, he said. It would have a capacity of 124 seats and will play an important role in providing communication facility to 55 lakh consumers of Rajasthan. |
