Idea cellular has collaborated with India Post to enable its customers to procure mobile recharge coupons from all post offices across Kerala.

To begin with, these prepaid recharge vouchers, which will include a range of denominations from Rs 10 to Rs 100, will be available only in head post offices in the state.

Afterwards, this service will be carried out in a phased manner to cover post offices across Kerala.

“The Department of Posts has a well-knit network covering rural and urban towns of Kerala. This association will help us in building a strong rural network, and will provide easier access to the 44-lakh Idea subscribers in Kerala to purchase recharge coupons,” said B Ramakrishna, Chief Operating Officer of Idea Cellular.

The stampsized recharge vouchers have been specially designed for sale only at post offices.

At present, the Department of Posts currently offers e-post facility, e-mo (electronic money order) and i-mo (instant money order), and a mega project, dedicated for Kerala is also the line up.
