Finnish handset maker Nokia pulled the wraps off the latest member of its flagship Nseries- N97, at a press conference in Delhi.
Touted as a personal computer, N97 is bundled with the first off personalized home screen and a unique combination of both 3.5 inch touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard, making it an ideal buy for the users of converged devices, said the company.
While unveiling the phone, Vineet Taneja, Director-Marketing, Nokia India, said, “From the desktop to the laptop and now to your pocket, the Nokia N97 is the most powerful, multi-sensory mobile device in existence,”
N97, which will be the company''s first phone to have a preloaded Nokia Ovi store, will offer an instant access to it, bringing users to exploit this one-stop shop for applications, games, videos, podcasts, productivity tools, web and location-based services.
“Ovi Store makes shopping for content and applications easy and fun for feature phone and smart phone owners alike,’ added Taneja.
The phone boasts of 48 GB memory, with an inbuilt 32GB and a microSD for adding another 16GB.
Other features include a 5 megapixel camera (with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash), Nokia's N-Gage gaming system and handwriting recognition.
Besides, it also has a 3.5mm headset jack, microUSB port used for syncing and charging, Haptic feedback and 1500 mAh battery.
The handset will start shipping across the country with the next two weeks at an expected price of Rs. 34,000. |
