HCL Infosystems and Delhi University have forged a tie-up to offer ICT Training to students of University of Delhi’s Campus of Open Learning (COL) under various short-term professional training program. The courses will be offered by the University’s Centre for Professional and Technical Training, Keshav Puram.
HCL will offer six month program including courses such as Linux with Linux with Convergence Technologies Innovation (LCTI), Web Development Using PHP (WDPHP) and Web Designing (WD) to students.
"We believe that our students should be equipped with skills required by the industries so these courses have been designed in consultation with the industry which includes Hands- on -Training as well," Dr. Savita Datta , Director, COL, said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. George Paul, Executive Vice president, HCL Infosystems Ltd said, “Despite the rapid mushrooming of IT institutes, industry ready trained manpower is still in short supply. HCL courses have been designed to transform young students into industry-ready professionals, who are ready to take on ICT industry responsibilities without the need for any further training on the job. We have set up alliances with leading IT corporations such as IBM, Microsoft, Red Hat and Oracle that help in creating state of the art curriculum as well as adopting global best practices in IT.” |
