Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) today announced the departure of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Simon Beresford-Wylie with the company’s board now replacing him with Rajeev Suri effective October 01, 2009. Simon will be with the company till November 01, 2009. Suri will be based out of NSN’s HQ in Espoo Finland.

That process has made it clear that Rajeev brings the right values, experience and industry expertise to take Nokia Siemens Networks forward."
41 year-old Rajeev Suri presently heads the Service business vertical of NS> He has also lead the team for APAC. He has worked in countries including India, Finland, the United Kingdom, West Africa and Singapore.

"I respect his decision to pursue opportunities in a new industry after 27 years in the telecommunications infrastructure sector. He leaves a remarkable legacy as the architect of Nokia Siemens Networks and as a close friend."
