Our value proposition to hotels has been well accepted

In the backdrop of robust growth in hospitality sector ABS India claims to be one of the strongest references when it comes to complete converged enterprise solutions to hospitality segment. In an interview with TelecomTiger, Sunil Arora CEO and Director of ABS India Pvt Ltd talks about the technological challenges, protection of network, data and  brand image and solutions that ABS India offers in hospitality sector. 
 

Q: What are the technological challenges in hospitality sector in India?
 
A: Technological requirements in a hospitality scenario revolve around two important aspects. One “how do hotels keep their guests happy by providing them a unique user experience? “And the second one “how do hotels enable or empower the staff to provide their users a unique experience.” This has been our experience when catering to the hotel’s enterprise requirements. Although this looks simple but it is a complex matrix of solutions and customization for hotel environments where requirements are not similar.
 

Q: Protection of network, data and brand image is crucial for any business. How these can be addressed in this sector?
 
A: ABS India is one of the strongest reference when it comes to complete converged enterprise solutions to hospitality segment. We have unique solutions for hospitality comprising voice, data and Wi-Fi. Over a period of decade or so, we have taken care of hotel investments to give them return on investment, secured network & user centric solutions. Thanks to our OEM hospitality offers and their ability blend with third party applications, our value proposition to hotels has been well accepted.
 

Q: Down time can severely dent the reputation of a hotel? What are critical business applications online that can remove this fear?
 
A: Down time can seriously impact the hotel reputation. We offer reliable solutions which come with redundancy thus ensuring no down time. We provide Network management solutions with built in voice mail facility. This gives greater flexibility and easy operability. More over our unique 360 degree service support package and stringent SLAs will ensure no downtime occurs.

Q: How do you ensure that your applications perform at the highest levels?
 
A: Designing user centric hospitality solutions is a challenge in itself. As a System Integrator we have a team of pre sales resources working on every hotel projects. The requirements are not similar across the clients. For us each requirement is a project. We have invested in sales, pre sales and post sales resources that can bring in value addition and uniqueness to each hotel project. It starts from understanding hotel’s value proposition and how do they want to brand themselves. A system integrator has to simulate various scenarios and design solutions accordingly. To simulate one needs experience and expertise to offer solutions to hotels. With our rich experience we are adding very good numbers of hotels to our reference list. Our feature rich phones can offer guest convenience services like booking a table at a restaurant or a taxi from the room. Benefits of hotel applications are endless.
 


Q: Wi-Fi services are so important in Hospitality sector. What are your expertise in this area?  
 
A: Wi-Fi solutions will bring in enormous value propositions to the hotels. And hotels have identified this unique solution. Our experience confirms Wi-Fi is a accepted solution that every hotel wants to offer. Today guests in a hotel can access communication from any part, be it top floor longue or from a spa. Today hotels look for converged solutions voice, data networking, wireless, applications all offered by one vendor. This makes a huge impact not only from investments perspective but also ease of operations and services.
 

Q: What are other solutions that you offer?
 
A: We provide end-to-end solutions comprising of voice, data networking, wireless, video, applications, and network management solutions packaged with 360 degree service support. All our solutions can seamlessly integrate with third party applications.
