Enterprise solutions and applications will play a great role in Indian enterprise sector. The challenges for the solution providers and customers are enormous. In an interaction with TelecomTiger, Sunil Arora, CEO and Director, ABS India Private Ltd. speaks candidly about these challenges and strategies to overcome them.


Q. Indian economy is facing some of the toughest challenges in recent years. Out growth rate has been one of the lowest in last decade. How has it affected your business?

A.
Well, slow economy affects every one. How ever with respect to the enterprise communication segment, thanks to few verticals our deals came just in time. The economic out look is set to improve in 2013-14 with certain verticals promising to bounce back. There will be opportunities, one need to work and get results. The budgetary outlays, regulatory and policy measures are likely to boot the economic out look and we are optimistic about it.


Q. All the companies and all the sectors are under financial stress. How do you meet these challenges when you provide Enterprise solutions to the companies?

A.
An investment in enterprise solutions and applications is one time. And it’s a very essential to be a part customer’s investment strategy.

To ensure we are a part of investment strategy, we have taken measure to keep up with the trend. We partner with right technology with which we bring in enormous value addition to end customers. We utilize our competitive advantage built over 17 + years of experience in enterprise communication domain and invest in trainings, certifications and continual development. As our service motto we offer comprehensive service / support portfolio for every need of enterprises. We have obtained certifications for our internal processes.


Q. You are a leading player in the hospitality sector, which was growing at a fast pace. What are the challenges in the hospitality sector?

A.
Challenges in hospitality sector with reference to enterprise solutions and applications depends upon many factors. Few notable influencers will be adaptation of new technology, ever changing customer preferences, new models of investments Vs returns and endless applications.

The biggest challenge will be integrating above challenges, customizing the solutions and adding value to entire chain.


Q. What are the solutions that you offer to your customers?

A.
We integrate technologies and solutions for enterprises across all segments. Backed up by superior service portfolio we can take care of enterprises communication networks end-to-end. Our areas of strengths will be Enterprise Voice-P / TDM, Data & IP Networking, WLAN & WiFi, Unified Communications, Enterprise Applications, Video & Presence, Security & Surveillance, Contact Center Solutions and Data Storage & Protection.

With excellent references across the verticals we are maintaining some of the most complex networks across geographical regions.


Q. How do you ensure that your applications perform at the highest level?

A.
Applications are nothing but customized solutions that are optimized to customer environment. These applications go through endless sophistication process triggered by lower costs, demand for improved services and services offered by third party solutions. Maintaining higher performance levels for applications needs in-depth understanding and objectives or targets set for each application. Our service portfolio ensures to accommodate each and every aspect of applications which will be critical when designing. Thanks to our OEM technologies & the openness to ingrate with other services we are offering applications with higher performance levels.


Q. You have built one of the strongest brand in this segment. What is the secret behind this?

A.
Honestly, it’s the pool of resources we build and that have contributed a lot for this note. We have very good combination of technologies and intelligent resources. Superior work force to work with opportunities, ability to design solutions and capability to maintain enterprise networks will be the guiding force behind our success.


Q. Do you have any diversification plans in India? If any, please share it with our readers.

A.
At this point of time there are no diversification plans in India. However we are keen strengthen our service portfolio which is key for our success. We are also working on increasing our presence across Indian Sub Continent.
